In loving memory of Ryan Parker 26/10/84 – 27/07/21.
A beautiful soul who lived his life with kindness, grace and courage no matter the challenges he faced. He lived by the motto Kindness is Key. Living with Cystic Fibrosis, every day was a fight for Ryan. In 2012 he became a double lung transplant recipient. As any transplant recipient will tell you, the battle does not end there.
Whilst immensely grateful for the extra years and experiences his transplant afforded him, the medications necessary to prevent rejection were brutal on Ryan’s body and brought new complications to his every day life. Lungitude was a foundation Ryan supported, it was very close to his heart. He hoped that with more research better medications, treatments, after care and longer life expectancy might be possible for lung transplant patients in the future.
